Jonathan’s relationship with music began at the age of four, when the violin quickly became the center of his world. His early classical foundations were shaped by renowned mentors such as Joy Brown Wiener in Memphis and later through intensive studies at Belmont University, the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, and under the guidance of Calin Lupanu.

Throughout his teens and early professional years, he embraced every opportunity to perform, moving fluidly between symphony halls, church stages, pop sessions, and studio work. His journey took him from Nashville to Los Angeles to New York, each city refining his sound and expanding his artistic perspective.​
​Jonathan originally envisioned a life touring as a songwriter and violinist, but life shifted. The pandemic rearranged his path, leading him unexpectedly into a role as a worship director in New York. The season deepened his musical and personal growth, while simultaneously reconnecting him with the classical world, including multiple performances at Carnegie Hall.

Each chapter, every city, challenge, and triumph shaped the emotional depth and intentionality he brings to his work today.

That single “yes” opened a path he never expected—one that combined his classical training, expressive style, and love for storytelling into a powerful new direction.
He returned to Nashville and launched Jonathan Joel Violin, building a thriving brand through authentic relationship-building, strategic content, and unforgettable live performances. Since then, he has become a sought-after presence in the luxury event community, performing at prestigious venues such as The Four Seasons, Schermerhorn Symphony Center, and the Country Music Hall of Fame.
